About

Kirstin Louie (she/her) is a New York-based, multidisciplinary artist with a likeness to a fortune cookie:

Oakland-grown with a hint of sweetness and full of unexpected bits of wisdom.

After earning her MFA from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 2021, she launched her career in London. She swiftly landed a role guest starring in the final season of detective drama Endeavour on ITV and PBS Masterpiece, playing an accomplished concert violinist. Kirstin then returned to the US to originate the role of diplomat Lulu Chen in Life of Pi at American Repertory Theatre (A.R.T) and on Broadway at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater. With life-long training in music, dance, and theater, she has a penchant for learning accents, a flair for stage combat, and can easily navigate between performance styles.

Offstage, Kirstin can be found leadership coaching, exploring cities through her camera lens, and advocating for eating salads with chopsticks. She also has a passion for community engagement and spends her time volunteering for educational and arts nonprofits.

Kirstin holds a BA in International Relations and Global Economics, with a minor in Jazz Vocal Studies, from the University of Southern California. With her Trustee Scholarship, she studied in Beijing and spent her junior year at the London School of Economics. You can find her name engraved on the USC Library wall as a Global Scholar Award recipient. Prior to her MFA training, Kirstin completed the Graduate Analyst Program at BlackRock, before working as an Associate in their financial technology division.
